Friendly name not displaying on an INOGENI device

Q.

The device manager, Zoom or Microsoft Teams is not showing the friendly name I gave to my device. Why?

A.

1. You have to make sure that you clicked on the Apply button in INOGENI’s Control App after you are done writing the new name.
2. You must carry out a power cycle of the device.
3. In the device manager, under Camera, right-click to erase the device. Then, complete a power cycle. The friendly name should appear.
4. In Microsoft Teams, you need to Quit the session. In the task bar, right-click on the Teams icon and select Quit (just closing the page won’t work). Zoom should be okay after the power cycle
