Meeting inclusion and equity challenges are on the rise

The demand for videoconferencing systems, software and services continues to rise for facilitating work sessions, classes and telemedicine in a post-pandemic world.

According to Fortune Business Highlights, the global videoconferencing market is projected to grow from The global video conferencing market is projected to grow from $6.87 billion in 2022 to $14.58 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 11.3%.

This projection will be affected by future economic uncertainties; according to the AVIXA Sales Index (AVI-S), the Index slowed to 61.2 last December after peaking at 72.7 in March 2022. Over 50 still means sales growth, nevertheless.

As predicted, North American market growth observed in recent months will continue, albeit at a slower rate. However, companies with strong innovation at competitive prices and solutions that rely on artificial intelligence technology should benefit from better growth.

Based on estimates from Metrigy’s “Unified Communications Management and Endpoints: 2021-22” report of nearly 400 companies, 75% of participants saying the ability to use their room-based videoconferencing systems to join multiple and different meeting apps was an important determinant when evaluating various solutions for BYOD and BYOM configurations.

However,  IT teams and users are continuously confronted with vastly different—and often disparate—meeting environments, particularly when it comes to the ease of use and interoperability of videoconferencing systems, devices and applications.

Setups and getting equipment to actually work together are inefficient, complicated and ineffective. A lot of time is wasted making sure everyone can join and actively participate in a meeting. Meeting inclusion and equity is often compromised or not even achieved due to technical issues. Many business leaders and professors worry that remote participants don’t benefit from an optimal meeting experience and are concerned with the levels of learning and productivity that stem from lacklustre digital collaboration.

How INOGENI’s AV devices can eliminate meeting inclusion and equity issues

Technology-agnostic videoconferencing is the new imperative to meet inclusion and equity. While system and software providers are collaborating to help users “walk into a room, select a meeting app, and start the meeting with a button,” the interoperability between physical equipment and devices still poses problems.

In addition, many organizations do not have the resources to fully upgrade their videoconferencing equipment, despite innovative new technologies, such as next-generation whiteboards and casting solutions, AI-powered USB cameras, and even new laptops. Equipment and device compatibility has neither been completely seamless nor ubiquitous—until INOGENI.

INOGENI’s wide range of AV solutions, including switchers, mixers and converters, is bringing a whole new level of performance and affordability for any BYOM/BYOD meeting or HyFlex environment, whether it is set up from scratch or as an added layer to an organization’s current videoconferencing infrastructure. Offering maximum versatility thanks to multiple input/output sources, INOGENI’s pro AV devices help both AV teams and users to effortlessly and automatically connect laptops, cameras, microphones, screens and whiteboards, videoconferencing platforms, and so much more to elevate every meeting or classroom experience.  All with just a push of a button!
